About Community Acupuncture

Our goal is to make effective, affordable acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, and bodywork accessible to our community. To this end we have chosen to use the community acupuncture model. This means we have set up our clinic to treat several patients in an open space setting. Treatment in an open setting is common in Asia, and becoming very popular in this country as well. It keeps the cost low, enabling more frequent, and thus more effective, treatment.

Being in the same room with others during treatment may also enhance the effectiveness of the treatment. Some call this the "qi of the community", and both practitioners and patients benefit from this synergistic healing effect.

At Boulder Community Acupuncture, you will receive personalized care with complete respect for the privacy of your personal history. It is not “group acupuncture”. Each person comes at an appointed time, consults quietly with their practitioner, and then receives treatment.

Some of the key benefits of visiting Boulder Community Acupuncture:
  • Increased energy and vitality
  • Significant reduction in your stress level
  • Vastly improved feeling of overall well being
  • Natural and effective remedies
Our clinic has four treatment tables and two comfortable reclining chairs, separated into 3 semi-private areas. Floor lamps, soft music, and beautiful screens create a lovely, warm, and deeply relaxing space.

With regular treatments, patients get results and are happy to refer family and friends. It truly becomes a community that practitioners and patients belong to for our mutual benefit.

Our clinic is a member of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce
and the Community Acupuncture Network
